The 2006 Ducati 749R is powered by a 749cc L-twin Testastretta motor that produces 118 peak horsepower and 60 foot pounds of torque.  It has a wet weight of 423 pounds and has a 31.8 inch seat height.

The "R" model is Ducati's highest spec version of the 749.  It comes from the factory with a tremendous list of upgraded components including: Ohlins fully adjustable suspension, Radial mounted Brembo Monobloc brakes, Ohlins steering damper, Slipper dry clutch, Oversized 4.8 gallon fuel tank, Forged Marchesini wheels, Magnesium head covers, and carbon fiber belt covers.

Performance-wise the 749R makes 8hp more than the 749S and 749.  It has a bigger bore & shorter stroke, titanium oversize valves, and titanium connecting rods -- all allowing for a higher rev limit.  

It is estimated for the three years Ducati produced the 749R, that 1200 were made worldwide, with around 150 units of those brought to the United States. (Ducati.ms)

This specific example has been upgraded with the full Termignoni race exhaust.  It has a custom Dyno tune on a power commander ecu.  A titanium Ducati Performance quick release gas cap is installed.  A carbon fiber chain guard is fitted.  A Speedymoto open clutch cover and pressure plate is installed.

In 2022 the bike received its most recent service from Ducati Master technician Bill Dahl of Redmond Motorsports.  This included new timing belts, oil & oil filter change, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, new clutch pack, and Michelin Road 6 tires.

All three original keys and key code card are included, along with an official Ducati Service Manual CD-ROM.
