The 2006 Ducati Sport 1000 is powered by an air-cooled 998cc two cylinder motor that produces 90 peak horsepower and 67 foot pounds of torque.  The monoposto version is very sought after as it has an asymmetrical swingarm, single rear shock, and dry clutch.  Most importantly it was only produced for 1 year.  Later year versions utilized a wet clutch, had a passenger seat, and two twin rear shocks.
