The MT10 is powered by a 998cc inline four cylinder motor that is a derivative of the YZF-R1 CP4 Superbike motor.  It produces 158 peak horsepower and 82 ft lbs of torque.  The CP4 cross plane engine produces plenty of low and midrange torque and also gives engine a signature deep exhaust note.

It has an extremely comfortable upright riding position, has a 32.3 inch seat height and weighs 463 pounds.  Electronic riders including abs, traction control and adjustable horsepower maps come standard.  It also has cruise control and an electronic quick-shifter for upshifts.

This specific example has been upgraded with a radiator guard, an oil cooler guard, frame sliders and adjustable levers.  It has a newer set of Bridgestone S22 tires fitted, an excellent tire choice for both street and track day use.
